My friend is thinking of getting this Enermax ATX v1.2 PSU. (http://www.newegg.com/Product/Product.asp?Item=N82E16817103440)

I've heard that using < ATX2.x PSU's on ATX 2.x motherboards has caused some problems, even with converters. In the specs, it says "Intel ATX 2.03/ATX 12V ver. 1.2 compatible". Does that mean he shouldn't have any problems using a converter if he ever decides to upgrade his i865PE board and P4 system in the nearer future?

He was also thinking about this (http://www.newegg.com/Product/Product.asp?Item=N82E16817101513) PSU but it has less amperage on the +12v than the Enermax, and Enermax is very high quality.

What do you think about the converter problem?

AFAIK There's only been problems with the DFI NF4 boards.
