Where in the US can you order either the vapochill PE or the promethia? I found chip-con for the promo but they are outside the US. Frozencpu carries the vapochill but not the PE. ANy help?

Hey thanks, i left [H]ardOCP for here a while ago. I dont post much so I guess i was a troll on their forums too. :D I think im going with the PE because of availability in the US and cost. MY question is what PSU are people definately using with this w/ good success ive heard the PE has PS issues.

Ive never heard of that PSU before. Not saying its bad, just not a name ive heard of :D . Would the 520w Vantec Stealkth PSU work w/ the vapochill? I alsoz read in a review you cant flash the bios on the chill control units if you have a legacy free mobo. Means no IT7 MAX for me  . WHats another good board choice? I would prefer somethign that locks the PCI/AGP values.

www.cooltechnica.com has the Vapo PE. great to deal with too, bought mine and had it the next day. I'm running the IT7 MAX2 ver2, and I just use my laptop or another PC to flash the chill control. Any PC that will run DOS will do it, so you don't need anything fancy.
As far as PSUs go, I'm running the TTGI 520 watt EPS, but the Vapo worked fine with a 400w Antec also.

Ive never heard of TTGI before, are they a trusted name?
Im familiar w/ Enermax, Antec, Vantec and PP&C. Infact the PSU id like to use is the 550w Vantec, is this one compatible?

Here you go: Endorsed by the man himself. Do a search on this board and you will find many are using them successfully here. I can't answer for the Vantec, as I have not had my hands on or inside one yet. But the TTGI 520 watt I'm using in a new Vapo PE is plenty. I'm running the vapo and a Swifty MCW50-T with a 80watt TEC, 4 x 120 mm fans, a dvd rom, burner, and 4 harddrives off it no problems, 12v rail is 12.08 underload 12.15 at idle.
