Posted in other thread about dual cores but,
It didn't get blasted like I figured it would,?? O well, I like it.
"Thats close to what I'm building!
A 302 in the lower front: Intake, Duel 120's shrd pulling <12v
A 302 in the Top: Exhaust, Dual 120's Shroulded pulling <12V
350 pump after lower-cpu-gpu-Duel 120V Ac fountain pumps in res*-upper-switching valves**-lower
*(only one running other wired for running when low flow)
**(external chilled water res available thru switching valves {Fuel couplers,
[bolth sides seal when unhooked]})
Other loop=
Bay mnt res/pump (dash board)-chipset splitter block-RAM DUAL blocks (two per stick)
-psu blocks-80 rad/exhaust fan***-100 rad****-res/pump-
***(above psu,{psu fans turned to blow in from rear out in front shrd'd up to upper

so wait.. its all powered by an mcp350?

can you show some links to the hardware your getting, or make it more clear as to what you're using becasuse currently your post is incredibly confusing.

I'll rewrite and repost in a moment
Hardware I have or fabricated, (built myself)

This started as a
Kingwin Arctic liquid cooler, (wimpy pump and water amount, IMO)
But I ran out of time this morning and will post the Added parts

Finally back
The system: HUGE Tower

Loop One

Radiator = 2-302 heatercore (in the lower front, 2x120mm fans)

Pump = mcp350 pump

CPU waterblock = (kingwin arctic liquid cooler AWC-1) Any opinions on this unit?

GPU waterblock = Zalman zm-GWB1 (the large one) Opinions? Yes I know aluminum, Zinc Anode will be used!

Reserviorcustom clear res

Dual Secondary Pumps = 120VAC fountain pumps, (one as back-up when low flow),

(custom sensor and wire job on the pumps for 2nd one kicking in if low flow detected)

Second Radiator = 2-302, (in top of case)

Y (for shut on/off and redirect) these will have fuel line couplers

Y (For shut on/off and incoming chilled water) same couplers (bolth sides seal!)

Loop Two
Pump / Reservoir = Bay mnted res/pump dash panel, (kingwin AWC-1 with the rad removed)

chip-set waterblock = (custom y for splitting the flow)

RAM waterblocks = (two per stick,{3 sticks @512} custom made)

PSU waterblocks = (custom made simular to RAM ones), Thermaltake HPC-420-102df

Radiator = 80mm rad, (AWC-1 unit) mnt above psu pulling

Radiator 2 = other AWC-1 rad, (the one removed from dash panel, didn't like recycle of hot air!) (this rad to be mntd in front of or behind lower 302 depending on chiller but, could end up in the chiller res also)

Reservoir = Res w/fountain pump, (booster)

back to bay mnted res pump.

NON WaterCooling Components
Logisys UV lights 300mm long X 3.
citylites UV 10" long with each 5" half pointable X 2.
LED UV spotlight (has 3 led's in it).
citylites neonstring lights X 3.
distilled UV reactive (lost river water). (also custom made).
mini 100watt psu, (long skinny unit for power extra lights hidden).
powder coated case and hd/cd-rom hangers (black/yellow).
polished diamond plate aluminum strips holding custom windows, (full size bolth sides).
and am starting the assembly, FINALLY!!!!!!

But, theres that dam "thermosiphon" I read about last night, hummmmm....

Pictures?
Funny how you mention that.
I have been taking them along the build route.
I don't see any place to attach them on the posts.
If you people want to see something, I'll need to be taught how to do it.
Thanks

Is the backup pump just redundant in case of faliure of the main pump?

Seems a bit pointless to me ... also make sure that your not going to loose flow when this pump is off (as water may be able to bypass the impellor when its off)

A picture of tubing diagram would help, as I still dont fully understand the layout.

Sounds like a tangled mess.....

FrozenPC4Brain
08-17-2005, 11:26 AM
"mess", I'll agree.
Thanks max, I tried to type it readable, as I learned from reading forums ya know!
I'll study pic up-load after work, (and repair job I got 2 do tonight)
I'll be running tubes inside of tubes as I last layed it out, but could change.
I'd like an opion on the cpu wb!
fountian pumps let flow on or off.
still working bugs out of flow indicator/sensor
Thanks

no real testing has been done on most of those components, but one thing I can tell you is that the zalman waterblock you have on the gpu is so bad that its worse than stock cooling.

Ouch

Repeat after me......Danger Den Maze 4 with acetal top....

FrozenPC4Brain
08-17-2005, 06:10 PM
Max- You mean the fan is better than the z unit? (O well bought it for the psu anyway
and the RAM sinks are allmost as nice as my custom ones. But I wanted to use the AWC-1 gpu wb for a TEC project, maybe I can still use but on the gpu with TEC).
Cart- Why? And why that top?
Off to fix another newby reformat.

Thanks

maze4gpu is one of the best gpu blocks on the market.

acetl as aluminum causes corrosion when matched with copper in a cooling loop.

read my guides for more info on all of this.

Maxxx,
Over on another forum everyone was recommending the MCW50 or some PolarFLO crap, so I tried to enlighten them, but they're saying the Maze4 is the worst performing of the three.

You know any reviews or sites that did them to back me up? :)

k00lance
08-17-2005, 07:29 PM
They all get their info from some site reviews rather lacking real life testings.
Some reviews I see do state polarflo's are actually good.

MaxxxRacer
08-17-2005, 11:20 PM
no solid reviews pysche..

mcw50 is a good block but it uses aluminum top, thus negating any usefullness it has.

Get brass MAZE4:
http://www.dangerdenstore.com/product.php?productid=153&cat=18&page=1

Maxxx, do you also recommend getting these:
http://www.dangerdenstore.com/product.php?productid=69

thanx!

cartmanea
08-18-2005, 01:20 AM
No, don't get the brass one, get the acetal one:
http://www.dangerdenstore.com/product.php?productid=150&cat=48&page=1

Its way lighter than the brass version and also corrosion free.

MaxxxRacer
08-18-2005, 02:36 AM
aca, if you have 1/4NPT fittings they will work fine, but the I'm not sure on the wall thickness. Alot of brass barbs have stupidly thick walls, ,making the actaul ID terribly small, which leads to undue restriction.

aca

I ordered this brass maze4:
http://www.dangerdenstore.com/produ...3&cat=18&page=1
So should I just stick with the original barbs?

MR, he was referring to the brass-topped version, not brass barbs.

"brass barbs have stupidly thick walls", I'm glad somebody else knows that!
This is how I fixed that, one of my favorite tools! see pic.
I've done all fitting, plastic or metal.
I do have good flow, (on test runs in the back yard).

FrozenPC4Brain
08-18-2005, 01:41 PM
The dd "Acetal" wb for gpu, isn't that just fancy plastic and will be unable to handle
the temps the chiller will give? Or is it just the cover and has a solid copper block inside?
The AWC-1 blocks are solid copper under the fancy chrome covers.
Included are more, (smaller) pic's of improved flow barbs.
Anybody know an easy way to reduce the size of pic's to fit the very small limit allowed for posting?
Most my build pic's are to large to post i've learned.
:slap:

cartmanea

I didn't notice the chiller, I'm not sure how the acetal would react to that. I know acrylic topped blocks would be bad though. Maybe the brass version is the way to go with a chiller.

To shrink pics, take them into Paint and shrink them by like 25-50%.

Wow, you used a cigarrete to ream out the barb walls? :slobber:
j/k, what tool did u use? I want to try the same thing.

MaxxxRacer
08-19-2005, 02:03 AM
nice barb mod. I tried drilling out one of my barbs, but the bit I used wasnt very appropirate and I was using a hand drill.

MaxxxRacer really needs a drill press.

Resize the pics to 800x600, using a program like Irfanview, for example. Save and exit
After that, reopen the file with paint and save it again. Should compress it even more.

After looking at m$ paint I remembered irfanview :toast:
I know how it works and like to use it.
Its part of my job in the winter,
(working on boss's web site so he can play and continue to be the nooby
lucky to get it turned on type) :slap:
These pic's show more fittings with the done ones left of a stock one.
Also is shown the magic tool that I use and have kept a close eye on for more than twenty years. :fact:
Also is a pic I'll let you all think about!   :slobber:

Special Magic tool= Tapered Hand Reamer w/T- Handle

MaxxxRacer

ya.. how in the heck do u get enough force with a reamer.. and he reamer is tapered, so how in the world are your cuts so straight?

FrozenPC4Brain
08-19-2005, 07:20 PM
max- :slap:
I work bolth ends and the tool is MUCH sharper than it looks! :fact:
As stated is the pic name, "ACE" is the brand and its fairly old. :toast:
I do use a drill on some that can't be reached thru, and like lapping
just do it at an easy pace and work hard, hold fitting in vice-grips over
garbage can and like tapping turn about 1/2, then back about 1/4 or so.
Some I have done while riding with girlfriend to her cabin, (every weekend,
part of the slow build but, do have to blame foosball tournys two or three
times a week,{tuesday, thursday and friday nights} with its fair share). :woot:
Cutting fluid helps, (wd or "Tap magic"). Only on metal! :fact:
I read more than enough about "cutting flow" so I was ready for the blasts
with the bard mods and a few other tricks I have in store for you all! :slap:
Still waiting for somebody to ask about the mistery pic?

Well I gota go make some Bow strings, (new 2me Bear Kodiak Hunter @ 60"
57Lbs @ $20USD in NEW condition and from another person a PSE compound I also picked up wednesday @ "FREE" :toast: :woot:  ,{a old friend I sold a willy's Jeep pickup [1961] to in the early 80's for cheap, He did owe me ya know}), b4 foosball tonight. :toast:
So everybody have a great evening and weekend! :woot:

Im assuming ur custom build thing are some ram coolers?

Thats why your the "water cooling MAN" :toast:
I know everybody thinks "waist", but I think "BLING"!
I might not be a very good computer tech type but, I am the "just because I
can and want it" type! My building skills are getting better by the build. :woot:
Here are a couple more pic's for ya.
Reamer tool also make great flair tool! :D

"A. it has to function well, B. it has to bling"
How could it not work well? Ram is not cooled in stock form and
after being water cooled the "BLING" will stand out very much! :fact:

:slapass:
I picked up an other piece of polished Diamond plate and hope to use
it for the fan shroud on top of case. (More BLING)! :woot: :toast:
I will try to get further along on tomorrow but did get new customer friday night
for a "other" side buz/hobbie I have/do and will also be setting that up tomorrow.
