CompUSA has this power supply on sale for $50 after rebates. I've been thinking I need to replace my old Antec PP-303X as the 5V rail sometimes dips as low as 4.68 under heavy load.

I would appreciate it if folks who have experience with the SL400 post their voltages for each rail under heavy load (such while running Prime95) as reported by a hardware monitoring app like MBM.

Also, if anyone knows, it'd be nice to know if this PSU has an adjustable pot.

Thanks in advance.

Well, I just bought one at CompUSA. I just couldn't wait around for what didn't look like it was going to be a large number of responses anyway ;)

So I guess we'll see how things go after I install it tonight. I got an even better deal than advertised! For some reason it rang up at $49.99 plus I got the rebate slip for another $10 off. Don't think I can beat an Antec 400W for $40!

I toasted mine, it took three months, but I had 2 hard drives, 4 other IDE devises, 2 USB devises, as well as 6 fans running 24/7. I replaced it with another Antec, just moved up to the TP550. All my PC’s have Antec PSU’s. Over all I think Antec makes a quality product, I needed more power than the 400 could provide, the unit failed but it was my fault.

Sorry to hear that. Sounds like you did have it fairly well loaded, though. But perhaps it was just an isolated incident. At least Antec has a 3 year warranty, so you should have been able to get it replaced for free.

No questions asked, refund went toward the TP550, the store's 30 day promise was extended, they know a pocket when they see one.

/me wonders if this thing has the pots inside like the PP-412X. Any1 brave enough to crack theirs open? :)

N8, haven't yet, but I might. Still trying to decide if it's worth losing the warranty over.
