:woot: looks kinky:)
How did you get those pins so straight :D
Looking forword for results :)

It reminds me to the Swiftech MCW6002 waterblock... :D:D
It should perform well if you convert it into a waterblock, but I dont know if it will perform well with LN2...
Good job man :toast:

good design man, but mayb bigger pins are better for more surface...this is also verry good.

Looks very good to me just don't use it with a ARC press ;)

oyu should make a space in the middle so you can use a press

anyone ever try shoving a HS in the bottom? ...not really just shoving buy you get where im going

Thats the way. Plenty of surface area close to cpu core. It should perform pretty good with ln2 i think.

Hmm, I can make a space, but how big ?

That should work very nicely, nice work.

You only need it when you use an arc, so dont remove them if you dont have any. Mayb its also good when using a solid round copper tube. Saw 1cm off it and there you have a round base. Braze all the pins exactly like you did and you have a round container thats easier to insulate!

wow marvellous giant surface area

The pins are perfectly bonded to the base, I wonder how you did this. I would have gone with a little thicker baseplate but I think 5mm is fine too, I would have used 7-8mm for it if I could get my hands on that stuff.

It's very good base. Score: 8.5/10 for performance, 10/10 for the looks ;)

Mayb you can double the the surface by making 2 or 3cm pins, that sure will help!

I don't think more than 1cm really helps, atleast more than 2cm doesn't. Most heat is being taken away very close to the base.

1cm is just fine.

Well here you dont talk about heat transfer but cold transfer... The larger the surface to cool (not to big though), the better results when holding the themprature. 2cm is indeed just fine!

they are milled by hand(gefreesd) i tough, he showed the pics into the watercooling section i think.

WONDERFULLY MADE! But too thin for LN2... it will be a very "fast" and "cold" container, reacting to the ln2 or DI very quickly, but also responding to load very quickly!

10-12mm is probably ideal with that kind of pin structure.

howd you make that?....something like drill out the holes for that fill with soilder and stick pin in?

G H Z
08-05-2005, 03:24 PM
It looks to me like they are press fit. Heat the base, freeze the pins and they'll pretty much fall in the holes. When temperature equalized it will almost be as one piece.

What I can't figure is how they made/machined the pins. Maybe they are premade however ;)

luks__pl
08-06-2005, 01:06 AM
Yes, pins are made first and after that joint with base. For making that I use drill, press, ... ( I don't know the names of other things in english :p: )

Welcome scoon, are you & luks in business together? These look very cool :D

@MM, Jeez dood relax, he just got here. I know your an expert on banning and everything but your jumping the gun just a bit ;)

@Noob, somehow I doubt that they would wanna just give away their methods ya know? I think they have given enough in this thread already ;)

Oh you solder em in? Under ln2 will the solder pop after contracting?

G H Z
09-23-2005, 11:17 PM
There is no solder there noob, open your eyes. I think they are making these into DI/LN2 containers soldering these pin bases to a tube or something. It will be interesting to see how they perform. If they solder it into a tube with a thick wall it might do pretty damn good ;)

G H Z
09-23-2005, 11:18 PM
I will solder only the 4 first containers...

P.S.

Sorry for my "poor" English

You might need to make more ;)

I hope he means braze or weld. soldering doesnt work well if I rembmer correctly. The solder contracts and pops.

luks__pl
09-23-2005, 11:54 PM
The concept of bottom construction was 100% made up by me. The production progress was also 100% my idea. It take me a long time to make the perfect pins diameter and perfect join with the bottom. So i don't like anybody copy my idea. I start making bottoms like that long time ago in Poland for water blocks. Now I prepare them for DI/LN2.

Here is an ieda for you, what about making evaporators, just like your current LN2 container design , but maybe 1.5" by about 1-2"? If you made them CHEAP and included mounting hardware i'd prolly buy one assuming I hadn't wasted my money on something else...

I was thinking about this but ... evap can be cheap :), shipping isn't :(
In about few days I will show the final product - LN2/DI containers :) with isolation, mounting, backplate. etc
