Has anyone tried cooling the chipset or the ram with DI or LN2? I'm thinking about trying both with a Dothan for a super pi run. But I want the ram at high fsb with tight timings. Has anyone tried either? I know THG used a vapo on the chipset and got very high fsb on a p4c800- the same board I will be using.

I don't think DI or LN2 on ram or chipset has been dun. I know someone just recenetly tec'd ram and got 25mhz more on ram that wouldnt overclcok at all. I dun think it would be worth it.

Weak vapo of the northbridge got THG up to 330fsb. It would be interesting to see what LN2 could do. If i could get these red line sticks from 260fsb 222 timing to 285 222 timings on an i875 chipset, that would be awesome. Do you have a link to the tec'd ram?

check the thread of teamjapan and dothan ;)

Thanks for the info. I think I'm definitely gonna give it a try. I'll start building the LN2 blocks this week.

I think cooling the chipset with DI has been done, but I'm not sure about ln2. Search for "project 290" in the 3dmark section. I think he DIced his ram and got 290 2-2-2-5 on 2*256 old bh-5. Like Jort said, I think the Japs had LN2 cooled mem. What dothan do u have?

I'm running a 730. It's currently running at 2.98 using a weak pelt. It should respond nicely to LN2.

Damn tell me where to buy ;). that insulation is distracting to me for some reason, did you guys notice any significant gains with dice or lnd on ram and chipset??

You can ask Vigor by mail.
Look this page closely.

But I don't know whether he will sell them to you or not.

Like 10 more FSB or so.

Yeah, those mem cooling blocks look bloody awesome.

Obviously, they work equally awesome as well, judging from the Japanese 18s SuperPi runs :D

That's amazing. That page is exactly what I was looking for. I will be building an LN2 setup like this very soon. I'm just waiting for the 38lbs of copper to arrive. Was this all LN2 or did you use Dice as well? Can the memory and the chipset handle LN2?

Great work enz0... really like that setup for benching. But why dont you guys make a proper and easier insulation of the containers instead of foam?

you can regulate the temperature with ln²:)

That's not my work but Vigor's.
I don't do DI or LN2 cooling.

I don't know.
Maybe it's because that's Japanese way ;)

Useful for the chipset :D

Some chipsets clock higher when cold, I've used DI on IC7-G and P4C800 boards...

how much did it help on the p4c800?

As enzo said, it will gain about 10 to 20mhz....
