You are pushing it there, try and keep it 1.7 and lower is what I think. Others may think differently. What's the temperature?

1.6-air
1.65-water
1.7-subzero

temperatures are ok.....
Motherboard 32 °C
CPU 52 °C
Seagate ST380011A 37 °C

1.6-air
1.65-water
1.7-subzero
Can't be! :stick:

i use 1,7 @ 2871Mhz, and i have seen temperature like 56 or so
for 24/7 i have 2600Mhz on def voltage.....and the temps are lower like 40 and so :)
I have tryed 1,750v to, but no boost.....same 2950Mhz

cooling is Polo 735 and it works fine for me :slapass:

Keep temps under 60C load and you're fine :) I've NEVER heard on an AMD chip die from Vcore with acceptable temps.

thx for all...... :toast:

My opinion is 1.7 air, 1.75 water, and 1.8+ sub cooling.

There is no set in stone limit.

There is no set limit based on core type. There is no set limit based on your cooling and temperatures.

Test your chip across a range of voltages, and chart the gains in MHz per mV overvolt. When diminishing returns start to kick in, you are nearing the "maximum" Vcore overvoltage for your specific processor. Every chip is different - some Venices see gains at 1.7V, others stop at around 1.6V.

Your chip is unique - you need to examine it's behaviour (scaling) with overvoltage at any given temperature, in order to extrapolate it's safe voltage limits.
