The mobo i have supports duron, athalon and tbird processors up to 950. What I am wondering and it seems stupid to ask but I am not to whoopie on the differance. But i know an athlon 950 is better than a duron. Can anyone give me some insite on the big differance?? Thanks

athlons have on chip cash and durons dont cash is a little bank of mem the cpu uses for frequently used apps thus the athlons preform better due to the cash. altho the durons are great overclockers (witch is in fact due to the lack of cash)they still fall short to the athlons:)

Actually they do have cache...the athlon has 128k L1 and 256k L2, the duron has 128 L1 but only 64k L2

Cool,
A meg of cache, it'll be an ideal performance proc then!
