Hi

I am looking for some help on modding a Aopen 300w PSU, as I wish to add a pass through power supply with a switch that turns it on and off, and also allows power to the PSU.

The pass through supply will be for a water pump. The idea being that the pump has to be turned on prior to turn on the pc and so preventing a fried cpu.

Cheers

Carlos

Carlos,

Welcome to Xtreme :)

Is the pump AC? If so you could accomplish what you're looking for with a simple relay ;)

Thanks

Unfortunately I am in Australia. Would you know of a web site that has the specs. I could then build one

Hmm...not sure, but they're rather simple really. Just get a relay that uses whatever your country's AC connection is, and is activated by a 12v source from your power supply. SHould be available at any electronics store.

Edit: Oops :)
