Has anyone else downloaded it yet?

I installed it today and I have to say that the web browser is uber nice. I can check my email, surf XS and check out hardware news. It's a lot faster than using the Wipeout Pure browser "hack" and it's much more feature rich (home page, bookmarks, actual menu screen, browser cache, cookies...).

For those of you interested in getting the firmware update, I'm told that it is not available through the Network Update yet. (I also tried that way and it attempted to put 1.52 on.) So, what you have to do is download V 2.0 from Sony Japan and then put the EBOOT.pbp file in PSP\GAME\UPDATE, then go to your Games tab and run the update prog. After it's updated you can delete the EBOOT.pbp.

EDIT: I should add that any homebrew apps you have on there that work with 1.5 will not work with 2.0, but I think most of us expected that.

Tried the new firmware, it is a great feature, finally, for accessing the Internet. Need some time to get familiar with the data entry anyway.

I just love it....... :)

Just stick with 1.50 unless a retail game has already tricked you into flashing any of the newer versions. Homebrew is far more valuable then a browser, also, there is a homebrew web browser out there.

Yeah, I learned that AFTER I "upgraded" to 2.0. Oh, well. :slap:

Someday they'll crack 2.0...

The DS is just as good. The PSP just happens to have higher native homebrew support.

Too bad you got a 2.0, a DS is better than a 2.0 PSP.

Yeah, the downgrader was released about a week ago. Sony released a new version of their firmware too, it's now 2.01 and the only apparant change is updating the image rendering code to prevent a buffer overflow.

which makes me belive sony is silly for trying to get people to update without sdding anything.
