Anandtech said you can get them to DDR480 with about 3.2V @ 2-2-2.
Now I understand with 4 sticks you get 2T timing and Athlon64s are more affected by 1T vs 2T than CAS 2 vs CAS 3 (correct me if I'm wrong). So in that sense going with 2 x 1GB sticks wont be that big of a loss because I still maintain 1T timings. However, with 4 sticks of Value VX, I'm sure I can OC high right? Or are you limited to lower OCs due to 4 sticks??
