ok, when i oc my 6800gt i don't get artifacts. but when i run say 3dmk 05 to test for artifacts, it freezes for a few seconds then continues. does anyone know a fix for this?

sounds like its overheating to me.

hmm, i had rivatuner in the background and it never went past 65degrees celcius during the tests.
Core speed may be too high. Reduce it a bit see what happens. DOes it freeze once or freeze every now and then?

the core was only at 370 and mem still at 1000.
it runs for like 8 seconds then it just stops and picks up at a different part of the test. then it runs for a lil more and freezes again :(
at the end of the test, my score was lower than stock speeds.

i found out what was wrong. seems that my 6800gt doesn't like the new 77.72 drivers. switched back to the old 76.44 and it runs butter smooth. just a question, my 2d and 3d core speed should be equal right?

no 2d must be lower then 3d . Why should u like that card runs hoter also when ur using windows ?not games :stick:
