I think its insane to do that for a temp reader :p

But we did Vcore mod the Cpu back in the 2.26 Ghz P4 nw days :p

Under those circumstances I can see why you would do it. to get as accurate as possible for dependable results. For me? not worth the time, if it will boil my eggs or cook my grubs it's the right temperature.

thats quite hard.. but I have thought about taking a probe from a thermometer, taking the IHS off, and maybe cutting a little gap in the side, and putting it back on to use as a probe.. :)

I think its great that someone has the guts and knowledge to do this so we can have accurate readings when testing different coolers. It´s too bad it´s on a cpu that dont like subzero degrees :p:
