What kind of base design does he use?

Its just a plain base (has like one indent) the main point of it is that the whole container acts as surface area for the base...

Unfortunately my FX may have died. :( Was workin on getting a good stable oc and it stopped posting. After pulling everything apart to dry and unfreeze I smelled the all to familiar smell of smoke. I narrowed it down to the cpu smelling burt. I will give it another try today and see how it does. :(
Edit: CPU def. seems toasted tried my winnie in there and booted right up. Well here's a few pics as I was getting ready to bench.

Was gonna go for the 57 but with the chance of a cold bug it's a big risk. Instead looks like I am going for a 55 SD that has no cold bug. ;)

Sorry to hear about your 55 =(,SD55 is a smart move with the cold bug stuff.
PS:What are your GPU container?

Actually made the gpu containers myself I have two and they seem to perform about the same just like one a little better then the other. I don't have the pics here I'll add pics of the gpu container later. :)

Hey thanks not sure if I will run the DI this weekend. Here's some pics of the gpu container. What I did was pull the base off a DD Maze4 water block. I used a 1 5/8" copper coupling. (it fit right inside the cut out for the oring on the base) I then brazed a 2" cap onto a 2" pipe. Near the bottom I used a 1 5/8" hole saw I then brazed the coupling into the hole on the 2" pipe and the Maze4 base onto the bottom. :)

That one is my fav to run. My other is rather simple and exactly like the one on the left in this picture. :)

Which one is your favorite?
Where did you get the Maze 4 - DD? Is this the one you used? Maze4 (http://www.dangerdenstore.com/product.php?productid=150&cat=18&page=1)

Sorry didn't post it well my fav. is the DD one. I think I had slightly better temps. I didn't have a temp. meter at the time so I was going off of ATI tool which I don't trust. The Maze4 is just like that one. I had the older non acetal top and saw it a little corroded inside so picked up the one you posted and decided to pull the other apart. From there got the idea to build it. The base is a little thin but gave me the following clocks on a X850XT non-pe.

I have heard 756 is excellant clock for a non-pe #3 for that class in 03 and 05. Just wish I still had it to run again w/ newer drivers. :)
