Hello I will try to make this quick. I have g.skill 1gble pc4400 (440) that will do up to 281mhz 2.5-3-3-7 1t on a winchester 3200. however my new 3700+ san diego doesn't like high ht speed. I can run 256mhz 2.5-3-3-7 1t or 229mhz 2-3-2-7 1t at 2.85v. I was wondering if a ddr booster would help me attain 250mhz 2-2-2-x 1t or if voltage like that would not help push my tccd. my cpu maxes at 2.75ghz, so 250x11 is perfect. I have an msi k8n neo2 platinum which works with the ddr booster. Could those with experience/knowledge of this combination please reply with your results? The booster is not very expensive it is worth a try I think. Thanks.

the tccd rams dont love high voltage, and even that the 440 chip is more stable with 2.9-3.0v its not recommended for 24/7 and its will kill your tccd.
in any way - tccd canot work at 250mhz 2-2-2-x.

thanks for the quick reply. not looking forward to killing this ram. I had seen some of this on an intel system doing 250 at 2-2-2-7 with 2.9v so i thought maybe just 3 would do it, but maybe that was just intel/rare case. I will wait for a proper bios from msi now. again thanks for the help and sorry about postng in the wrong forum :slap:
