I've narrowed my mb choice down to two serverboards from Supermicro.
The only real difference between the two that concerns me is the type of memory they use. One usss DDR while the other uses DDR2.
I contacted Supermicro's technical support for their recommemdation and was surprised when they said to go with the DDR mb as it performs better, even with a slower memory speed, when running the apps I use.
Although I'd seen elsewhere that DDR still outperforms DDR2 in most cases I was still surprised by the response.
So that makes me wonder what the deal is.
Just wondering if anyway has seen similar results.
