Grand Prix launch date

hey guys, some people told me they would prefer if we could move the competition launch one week ahead because of the holidays.
furthermore i havent had internet at home for a week as im switching isps atm. it should be working again next week but i havent had any time to email and pm anybody to make more people join the competition.

we can either launch the competition this monday, july4th, or we can delay it and launch it on monday july 11th, with more people and maybe some nice prizes.

please let me know what you guys prefer :toast:

having problems with a really nasty isp here :/
used to be a really really sweet isp but then it was bought by telecom italia... and ever since it has been going down and its a horrable mess now... slow, unreliable, buggy billing system, horrable support and one of the most expensive offers in germany atm :/

at my new isp i pay less than 10$ a month for á dsl flatrate and i get a voice over ip phone box for free... its only 1mbit but thats enough for me, i had 5mbit before but never really needed all the bandwidth and i paid 90$ a month for that flatrate :D

if anybody cares, i voted for monday 11th :D hehehe
its just that id prefer to have a few days to email and pm some friends id like to see joining the competition as well... but i know you guys are anxious to start this already :D

i thought we could only roll with the system we registered with.......or is it the one you start benching with you cant change? :confused:

you can change the hardware in your system until the competition launches. once it starts on monday 4th or monday 11th you cant change it anymore, but before that you can change stuff as much as you want, just make sure you post about it in the registartion thread or edit your specs in the post you already made in that thread :)

My system is falling apart as we speak, my redline won't be here by this monday, my phase change won't be fixed by the 11th, which is my fault for getting hung up sending it out, (and I'm going away from the 8th-11th), I'm all around :banana::banana::banana::banana:ed. My 7800gtx may not be here, etc, etc.

In Europe is summer and in most parts of US it's quite hot too. Asia reports hi temps also and for the africans it doeasn't really matter........ :p:

Although it is always hot in the summer, it always yields my best overclocks for some reason :p: Most of the time I do major upgrades in the summer too.

The 11th would be cool with me as I just ordered a new cpu. Got a 3.4E Prescott 478 E0 stepping arriving next week. Going to watercool it and hope for 4.0-4.2GHz. Maybe put my 226w Pelt on it and see where that takes it. :cool:

Well I'll still push that X600 further now that it's modded. Maybe even some DI this weekend :D since I hear most of the 7800's have a cold bug. I called and it will be in.

im glad that most of you are for a delay, so i have more time to prepare stuff and contact more people :)

and those of you who have problems with their hardware, dont worry, you can still compete in the different benchmakrs, you just cant compete in the overall grand prix ranking :)
there will be stats for each benchmark as well :)

oh and if you need help with your hjardware lmk, maybe i can help you :)
