Not the base, that's easy as sooo many ppl have asked the question.

I'm making a tube, just a first time practice run. I've got a 50mm square plate that's 3/8" thick, and 53mm tube, and I can bend the tube slightly to fit and braise. I'll be slotting the base at work in a 'crosshatch' pattern, nothing fancy.

I know it's a pretty small base, but it was free and should be fun to try out. Going to run a braise around the tube around 2-3" up from the base, grind it and use that for the install mount.

Main question, I've got some 1mm wall tube that I was thinking about using, but I don't know of it's gonna be ok. I've got about 24" to play with so will cut it down to around 10-12".

I can't really see why not, but I thought I'd ask, as everyone seems to be using 2mm. It's not holding any pressure so I wouldn't have thought it'd be that big a deal, and my 'fridge supplier can get me armaflex that's the right size no problem to deal with the insulation.

So, is 1mm wall copper tubing ok? Will it stand up to Dry Ice?

I won't be using LN2, as it's too much work to get it in the UK anyway.

Cheers

10mm base is perfect for dry ice and also for ln2...
Its never much work... you just have to find somebody ;)
