As we all know, most good memory brands like Mushkin, OCZ, Corsair, etc. have heatspreaders on their memory modules. Sure, it looks cool and all, and yes, it makes memory appeal to customers, but let's face the truth- memory heatspreaders are a blanket of heat over the RAM. Does anyone have a way to safely remove them? (And also, you can add xtreme cooling to the memory as well :))

Edit: Just read the rules, and found out that I won't get an answer. Lock this thread, delete it, whatever. Sorry! :(

Why wont you get an answer, this may void your warantee yes but as long as you add into your post that this should only be done by people who are willing to face the fact that this voids their memory's warantee and could possibly kill their ram then you should be safe. Im not a mod or anything and im sure one will be along shortly to either agree with me or straighten me out on this one.

Yes... but read this: http://www.xtremesystems.org/forums/showthread.php?t=66944 He was refering to the fact the "...remove the heatspreader without damaging the heatspreader and lose the warranty?" part. That's what I think anyway.
