What should I use to clean off stuff like oil from touching it, and old thermal pastes, off of heatsinks and cpu surface?

I have some ethanol, but I heard people say I am supposed to use Isopropyl Alcohol?

THanks

I went to walmart and bought a huge bottle of acetone.
Works great IMO and was under 4 bucks I think?

I use acetone and Isopropyl Alcohol 91%, I heard that using anything under 91% contains water and impurities; I also try using a lint free towel when cleaning my CPU, GPU, NB and SB.

Arctic Silver also makes a cleaner called ArctiClean: http://www.articsilver.com/

I have also heard of people using Everclear strait grain alcohol its 191 proof or 95% alcohol, whatever works I guess.
