28.765s 0517 DMPW 3000+ Venice! @ 2908Mhz...
http://www.lifestyleinteriors.org/hostedsite/510-3FIX-BT/1M-PB.jpg
I have been playing around with SuperPI lately, for the i4memory (http://i4memory.com) competition.
For 8M and 32M I cannot reach very high speds, due to my air coolling and the temprature gets to high. But 1M is fine up to 2915Mhz, my results here were achieved on 2908Mhz with my good old HyperX BH-5 @ 264Mhz.
I think this is the best 1M on air cooling with venice CPU, if not can someone please send me to the best 1M on air? Oh, and this was not some extreme air cooling in 10C ambient temps, this was achieved on "normal" air cooling, with a 44AUD Arctic Cooling Freeser64 with an extra 80mm fan attached, in 18C ambient temps. :slobber:
QuikSilver

No, there are much better aircooled results out there. People with FX-55/57s can get 3G+ on air...
blackjok3r
06-27-2005, 05:13 AM
Yeah, FX-55... this is 220AUD CPU... I think any 1200AUD cpu should beat it. :fact:

yeah, everyone wants it. Could ahve sold it the days after I got it for 50AUD profit. I think its worth more now. :D
WAH, is this an joke
My 3200+ Venice did +9h StressPrime2004 @ those MHz with Zalman 7700CU and room temp around 24ºC :slap:

I did most of the superpi tweaks and I got 29.6s with 2.8Ghz...The ram timings are tight but one of my sticks of BH5 is not as good as the other

I've seen under 24s with a Dothan on air so I don't think an AMD is going to take the record for lowest air cooled 1M
blackjok3r
06-27-2005, 03:11 PM
Yeah, I relaize that FX's and dothans are going to own my ass, but on venice notbody has got lower than this in thie thread, exept cpulloverclock. so I'm almost there.
=[PULSAR]=
06-27-2005, 03:16 PM
I can bench my venice @ 2.89Ghz on air with a 27C ambient temps, so I'm sure with 18C ambient temps I could get higher probuably 2.95 maybe and I need my redline and I could probuably beat the 1M time :) I gotta try beating cpulloverclocks when I get my DFI back :D

yeah, I'm getting problems at high HTT's, ram is fine in memtest up to 270+ but 1M refueses to run at all. Fails instantly. Can memtest for ages at 1.6v.

@cpulloverclock and Blackjok3r:
Had a fleeting shot at this ! Got 28.047s with a Venice 3000+ (0517EPAW) @ 3010 MHz cooled by an XP-90 and a room a/c, and 2 x 512 MB PC3200 PDP XBLK. The Vcore is about a notch or so above what is needed to get 29+ seconds @ 3010MHz. Just a benchie and not surely for my 24/7 use ;). Probably with more tweaking and/or more suitable RAM I could get to do this at a lower CPU speed :
http://img284.echo.cx/img284/5175/sub28sr8p2xs4av.th.png (http://img284.echo.cx/my.php?image=sub28sr8p2xs4av.png)

This is a stock aircooled Penium-M 740. It's Windows XP and it's hardly tweaked. This is with the P4P800-SE. With a P4C800-E Deluxe I think it should be a little more than 1 second faster. No mods on the board so the vcore is going nuts from 1.5v to 1.56v (1.6v in bios).

It's with 2 x Kingston Value Rams DDR333(PC2700) BH-6 and Full PAT - Turbo - boot @ 200MHz (11)and 1:1.........You DON'T gain more with 2 x 512MB rams as many people believe, coz with the 2 x 256MB you can "force" them much more (Turbo - 0T - 15.6uS - Enable - e.t.c.) than 2 x 512MB ones........ ;)
One of these days, I'll test 2 x 512MB OCZ PC3200 VX to see how they are doing.........On AS8 they did 262MHz with 3.3Volts........

Very usefull compare between P4GD1 and P4C800.
Looks pretty close.I cant belive the only difference in LH its 1 FPS.
From what have I notice so far benching with AGP mobos - raising AGP frequency helps for DL,DH,N in 3D2001. BUt it also lower your score on the non-GPU dependant tests. I presume you were running full PAT,right?
In this case you cant lower AGP freq. between tests.
I used MPS Uniprocessor tweak for my 2k1 run. Have you? Or the ACPI tweak?
hipro5
10-23-2005, 02:01 PM
NO full PAT involved........Boot @ 240MHz and into windows raised the fsb up to 267MHz......On this mobo, when I put in 865 Tweaker the 111(11) config for full PAT, it lets me bench on air @ 253MHz and on phase change @ 258MHz max........My other mobo lets me play full PAT on air @ 262MHz and on phase change(haven't tested it yet) should be around 267MHz+(I hope :) )......ACPI Multiprossesor run....
267MHz and 101(10) on tweaker = 245 - 248MHz with 111(11)......... ;)
Tommorow I'll test at the same frequency and full PAT to see how it does compare to this run.... ;)

3700+/Redline/Big Typhoon.
BT dunt work well with cold air, if ambient tems is lower than 5C, the BT's heatpipes dunt work, and temp goes up to 50C idle.
won't be the best I think, but here is my San Diego 3700+ 0547GPMW 0001. Tested with air (TT BT) and open window.

with an i865 series board, i could have something like 25s.
my best A64 run was done with a 3700 Sandy.
