Need help opening folder

Okay here's the story. Yesterday, I decided I want to clean every part of my old (tbird 1.333 asus a7a266 radeon 9500pro) computer and blow away dusts. So I disassembled everything, cleaned them, reapplied thermal paste/etc, and assembled everything back together. But when I turn it back on, it won't recognize my WD 120 gig hard drive with my windows xp on it. So I had to put my WD as slave, and put in an old 4 gig seagate as master, and install it on the seagate, cause I didnt want to install windows on WD and lose all my data. Well I was able to get back in windows and stuff, and set up everything. However, I wasn't able to open my old folder in documents and settings. It says access denied. I really need the stuff in it. Can anyone help? XP Pro btw.
