Nice, definitely a better use for a Chrome Orb than cooling a processor ;).

Good deal dude! Only problem I see is that it ate up 2 pci slots. Not a prob for you if you have like 5 on the mobo, or just dont plan on using them. Makin me think about a video card cooler I can do w/ this Volcano 6 after I get a killer upgrade for my processor!

i'd be more worried about the weight of the HSF tearing the chip from the pcb. arctic alumina thermal epoxy is some pretty strong stuff.

nice work anakin.

ccw, arctic alumina thermal epoxy is really good stuff. it's non conductive, so you won't mess up your board if it gets on the traces.

I also used arctic alumina epoxy for my 4400 mod. I originally had it screwed in with two screws until I saw the card start to warp:slobber: I used a Thermaltake A1240 P4 Tiny Fin 478 ALL COPPER for the GPU and a chopped up sk6 heatsink for ramsinks.

i dunno where you could find the stuff, you can get it just about anywhere online in the US.

i'm sure you'll find something here:
