Help building Budget

I am needing help on building a pc for gaming and will be overclocking a little. I will be getting a 6800GT no matter what, and my budget is very close to $1000 any sugggestions?

Well, you probably won't need an SLI board, so, you saved some money there. ;-) Also, you won't need a psu with a lot of wattage, since you're only going to be running one 6800GT. You may want to look into some value ram, as well. Do you want a cheap case, or a good-looking case? You can save money everywhere, really. Just plan something out, and take a look at everything, and see where you can pick stuff off to save money. Also, use www.pricegrabber.com, www.pricewatch.com, and www.froogle.com to save as much money, possible. Huzzah!

ok, would you recommend the 3000 venice or 3200 venice, i will overclock just a little, and be playing high demanding games like BF2

Yes, very helpful and informative thread there. Just take away the recommended graphics card and put in the 6800GT and your set.

If you're on a budget, definitely with a 3000+. You'll be able to overclock it, and you probably wouldn't be able to dell the difference between a 3000+ and a 3200+ when not overclocked anyway. Go with some OCZ value ram. The dfi ultra-d would be a good motherboard to get and can provide the voltage needed to make the ram fly.
