Ever since running this XP2600/333 CPU in my KX7333r about every five minutes I hear the lone beep. system is stable passes all the tests, it will beep even in the BIOS screen set at default.
Regardless of what setting I use it still happens, has anyone else had this happen.
It is consistent at 5 minutes to the second, does not interfere with data, but none the less annoying.

Perhaps a BIOS update? If that doesn't work, you can always unplug the PC Speaker.

You all ready for a laugh?
I had a blond moment! LOL
The beep was my cell phone that I charge right next to my PC, I ignored calls coming in while installing my new 2600/333 CPU Tuesday, and every five minutes the cell phone emits a beep that sounds exactly like a bios error beep to inform me of a missed call.
I had to go check the mirror to make sure I wasn’t really a blond.

Oh ya, I spent all day yesterday playing with Ram, and AGP settings, it was driving me nuts, and being I rarely use the cell it just sat there leading me to believe I had a problem. Went to run an errand at the church, grabbed the phone and lo and behold I am a block from the house and “beep”.
Talk about feeling like a dits. Well I got a good laugh out of it.

ROTFLMAO! That's too funny.
I'm moved this to a less-clogged forum. Think its a bit more appropriate here anyways :)

LMFAO!
Nothing like a good laff at someone elses expense. Thanks a trillion for that.
Well, I did something sort of similiar once. I went to turn on my system, but it wouldn't power up. And after yelling :cussing: at it and kicking it, and of course opening it up, I remembered that I had unplugged it to add a card and forgot to plug it back in . It only took me 2 hours to figure it out. :am: :hehe:

Now I don't feel so bad since I once spent over 2 hours trying to figure out why mine wouldn't boot. Testing everything I could think of except the d*mn outlet.... Finally figured out that the independent breaker that I installed just for that room (since that's where the pride-n-joy is;) )had tripped. Man I felt like such a moron:doh: I had even pulled the psu and put another one in before I figured it out..:)
