so, i can get 1gb of corsair 2-3-3-6 for the same price as 2gb 3-4-4-8 geil, i am a game, but would also like to hit 215fsb(my boards max :s)
is the difference noticable from 2-3-3-6 and 3-4-4-8?
Or would the sheer size of the 2gb beat it?

i would say you wouldnt notice much difference between 1gb at 1T and 2gb at 2T, but its worth taking note that newer games like BF2 will need 1.5gb of ram to run, so if your not updating soon then i would go with the 2gb of ram.

in respect to running 2gb on your board, i dont know how well the old nf2 boards can handle 2gb, you might be able to get that 215fsb with 2T

thanks for the help, i'm tempted to grab 2gb, i guess ram timings aren't a bit deal.

battle field 2 does not need 1.5gb's to run, 1 gb works just fine all settings maxed im not sure where you heard this but i can safely say 1gb works fine. and to the poster ram timmings do matter exspecially on athlon xp's were there is a low fsb so you need to make up for it somewhere. exspecially if your a gamer you are goign to want tighter timmings games like lower latecy ram. try to get some ram that will run 2-2-2-5 1gb will be fine.

BF2 runs perfectly fine with 1gb for me as well. I dont think you'll notice a big difference between 1gb and 2gb running mostly games.
