i want to upgrade my system to 1 GB of RAM, but my motherboard only supports a maximum of 3 memory banks. my current stick of Kingston ValueRAM PC2700 has 2 memory banks, so the system wont support another stick with 2 banks, because there will be 4 banks in total.
ive been searching the web and can never find any info on how many banks a particular stick has. i would greatly appreciate it if someone could help me find a pretty cheap, single-bank 512 MB stick with decent timings. a single-bank 1 GB wouldn't hurt either, as long as its not too expensive.
