Are these all based on the same chips. They're all 2-3-2-6.

Patriot - Maybe Different (3-3-3) but I suspect maybe not:

Probably all CH-5 eh?

They alright? 2GB's for a gamer rig would be hotness hopefully even without Ballistix.

CH5 is long gone. I would suspect Mosel of Infineon before CH5.

CH 32x8 cannot be built into a 1GB module. 16 32x8 chips ( double sided module ) can build at most a 512MB module, these all use 64x8 chips, which winbond has never produced.

Yah... probably confused. I actually had CH5 back in the day so kinda stupid... but still are these using the same chips as each other or anyone know anything about these sticks? I'd be happy with even like 230 decent timings without getting Ballistix?

I had my eye on the OCZ. Their can't be too many kinds of chips on 2gig packs doing 2-3-2-6. At least the mushkins and OCZ are probably using the same chips... wondering how the gig packs out there are clocking. I think Corsair and Kingston have similar sets.

Or are their unbinned ballistix around? Whats on those sticks! Probably going to buy something by the end of this thread. All I know is ballistix looks awesome but expensive. I just ordered a Dell 2405FPW and will probably get a G70 by virtue if being the first next gen graphics out.

i find it very annoying when people write a personal review and only rave about how great the shipping was and how they're going to buy for the egg again

great to see these are becoming available now! the OCZs are decently priced too :toast:
