I con't remember correctly but I think that the Micron "-5B G" Chips were the ones that were in OCZ EB(-5 BC) and now are in Ballistics(-5B G).

the chips look like this:

___________________
0518 1-1
MT 46V32M8
TG -5B G

I haven't gotten to OC them any, and probably won't be able to because they are going into my new Opteron Dualie.

That is the bad news, they are Registered and ECC (which typically don't OC as well, IIRC)

they are Corsair Memory product # : CM72SD512RLP-3200/M

I got them from newegg.com for about 68$ each (they are 512MB Sticks) but the EGG leaves off the "/M" on the product code so you could get the sticks with TCCC or CH-5 (according to tyan's supported memory table *http://tyan.com/support/html/memory_s2882.html*) but considering Tyan says that the /M memory has "-5B C" i'm not sure if it would actually be TCCC or CH-5.

Yes, the "C" were in the EB and the "G" are in the Ballistix, as well as the Buffalo Tech Firestix (amazing just how similar those names are, isn't it?) PC3500.

I've got some Buffalo Tech PC3200 with the "C" but they've only gone to 233 or so with 2.5-3-2-6 timings, if I remember correctly. More volts didn't help mine at all and neither did relaxing the timings. Got up to about 240 with 3-3-3-8 timings but no more. That was on a Neo2/3200 winney combo by the way.

Hope yours do better.

Did the Ballistix have the G rev in their PC4000 series as well or only the PC3200/3500?

I have the buffalo tech PC3700 with micron -5B C and do over 250 2.5,2,2,5,T1 with 3.3V. The higher volts do help but you have to cool the mem chips for it to work. I had to use ram sinks to keep the mem chips under 65C. 60C and up and the mem will give errors so anything above 2.9V need good air flow and above 3.1V needs ram sinks.
the max I can run the mem is the linit of my mobo. After 255HTT, it becomes unstable and its the mob and not the ram. If I had a better mobo I could hit 270 with this memory.
