jesse, about those blurry pics with your cam, use a magnifying glass and hold it in front of the lense! works great for me :)
without a magnifying glass i cant make sharp pics of anything thats closer than 50cm to the lense, with a magnifying glass i can make nice close ups like this:
http://img238.echo.cx/img238/7993/pict03517sb.jpg
give it a try :)

Hopefully that's all ready by the time it starts, or I'll be rushing to update, if I'm really lucky an X850XTPE will replace that 9800xt and if not, my 3200 754 kit will have to do for the platform, just depends how much time it takes to get it set up, and how much time til it starts...
Not important, really, all in good fun :D
Will get some pics over the weekend, should have some set up then, just the modded mach2 might not be here til next weekend :(
Do we have 2 weeks to get ready, or is that hoping for too much?
Cheers

good idea... many users have one :toast: but the systems arent easy to compare. most have really new hardware in it, the others only "standart"-components like a r9500 or 9800.

Saaya, thats silica gel needed for my airtight setup as afireinside pointed out. Southbridge doesn't get that hot, and it was directly inline with my airflow pattern so it became a place mat for it :p:
If anyone wants close up pictures of the whole airtight setup look here (http://www.xtremesystems.org/forums/showthread.php?t=64405)

Persivore, your the VMod mod, does this mean you know how to Vmod? If so, you have a lot more chances on winning then me for example. Don't underestimate you "powers" AXP's can deal a nice punch if need be. Vmod here, Tweaktweak there, nice cooling and they are good to go

I meant that I couldn't win any prizes becasue I'm a mod ;). I can get some reasonable clocks out of my 9600XT after bumping up the volts a bit, but my CPU can only hit 2.3 on 1.8v, and will sometimes run at 2.4 if its cold enough (its a unlocked desktop and not a mobile). I might still have a chance tho, and it should be fun, which is all that matters to me :)

you have some work to do? Don't even mention it :p:
I still have to do:
Re-install the entire rig (hardware that is :p: ) and clean it out first (LOTS of dutst ;) )
Then i need to redo my entire cooling unit of both my CPU as of my AGP (well only my RAM of my Gfx card needs more sinking )
Then I need to mirculesly find the room to install:
Windows 2000
Windows 2003
+ Direct9C offc ourse and all drivers and benchmarkprogramms.
This is gonna be one hell of a weekend :slapass:

Changed my Cooling round a bit, updated rig details to reflect this.
Now 2 Delta's in the rig, as well as the 172x150mm Papst, and the GF is not a Happy Bunny. Hopefully the ambient will stay down a bit, and I can crank it right up.

it looks like we have more AXP users then I thought :) Cool :)
Maybe now we'll see some revival of the Nforce 2 tweaking, I never did figure that out
yeah, i cant wait to see some nice nf2 tweaking with the tool of tictac and codered :D
go back to page 2 and look at what I did to the GF1 saaya, lol :D geforce 3 ti200?
I broke the GF1.. I need to withdraw until I can find something to replace it....
Good news: it was idling around 0-5c.
ah... how did it clock at those low temps? did the cooling help a lot? did you vmod it? the g256 of my buddy also died suddenly... we mounted a huge golden orb cpu heatsink on it ^^ it didnt boot again after that... must have broken the gpu package or something... :/
hmm.. jasonhk i registered earlier is actually a team.. its me jasonhk + neosteve :D .. some u dont mind.. :d
:confused2 you have pm :D
hey bmxfelon420, welcome to XtremeSystems! :D
hey Xassius! great to have you on board carson!! :toast:
you should be up for some sick numbers :D
Troman, Saaya, can I get some comfirmation about my mobo change being alright?
we are gonna save all system configs before the competition starts next monday, after that you cant change your main specs/hardware anymore without getting disqualified. im going to post a list with all your specs, if the specs on that list are wrong and you changed your specs shoot me a pm and im going to update it :)
hey saaya, 900mhz Athlon slot A vs Duron 600 LETZ DOO IT! :slobber: :D :hehe:
K.I.T.T. sure, welcome on XtremeSystems btw :)
nice to see you again firefoxx :D
hows your cascade project going? :)
SynGroW ,Oc-Ghostand grey mole, you guys can still join the single competitions for each benchmark, you just cant take part in the overall stats of all benches :)
hope you still join at least a part pf the competition :)
multiple GPU's are a no-go right?
no, dual gpus are fine, but i dont think we will have many people with dual gpus nso you would compete in a category with very few people wich would be less fun... so its up to you :)
=']We now have a total of 71 registrants...I think the front page needs to be updated, cmon saaya get on the ball ;)
sorry guys, still no internet @ home :/
can only borrow the pc of a bud every 2 days for an hour or so :D
gotta run and get to work, will try to come online again tonight to answer questions :)
i will pm some people and ask them to join the competition as well, more people = more fun :D
if you know some guys that might be interested in joining please link them :)
if theres anything urgent send me a pm and give it "urgent" as title and im going to reply to it asap, i will reply other pms in a few days when i have some time, im just too busy atm, sorry :D
the competition starts next monday!
