What will i be looking at when i go to remove my stock heatsink and replacing it with a new heatsink? Do they tend to stick to the cpu after they have been on there for a while? Also, how do i clean the face of the cpu, so that it will be nice and clean for the new heatsink?

i know for cleaning youll want to use a q-tip and isopropyl alcohol ...

as for removing if its stock it should come off pretty easy ...

and youll wanna use some Artic Silver 5 with whatever you put back on

if the cpu only has a small core(athlon xp / duron or pentium 3 / celeron <1.1ghz) it should come of easily, if it has a heatspreader(a64/p4/s754 sempron) you might want to be careful, as some larger heatsinks and prommys/ vapos like to pull the chips outta their sockets. i hope you find this helpful.

it will probly come off very easily.
I'll give you some little step by step link. Skip on down to step 7

One thing I dont like about is they make it sound really hard, but its so incredibly easy. I would skip the "Twisting" part of it. I've never heard of anyone doing that
