I'm going nuts here..
Installed GTA:SA and then the game wouldnt detect the DVD in my burner (BenQ DW822a dual layer burner)
Flashed it to latest bios.. couldnt even get windows to load.
unhooked the drive, windows loaded fine.
tried the burner on a ton of other ide connectors.. wouldnt work, tried changing it between slave/master/cable select.. wouldnt work.
put in a Maxtor SATA/150 PCI card and now the card is giving me a "Code 10" (device could not be started).
I've tried about 8 drivers for the SATA card and it wont work.. I cant put the burner on the motherboard connectors because windows wont load if I do.,.. and to the best of my knowledge you cant hotflash optical drives (flasher is an exe anyways). Am I screwed? :(
