Why cant i edit divx files with premiere 1.5???
Is there any plugin that will do the trick?

Well I have not used Adobe Premiere...
Why do not you use a simple program such as Virtual Dub?
Many video programs are here (www.doom9.net).

Virtual Dub supports many filters and if you visit Virtual Dub's support forum you can find many tutorials and links for downloading extra filters.
Keep in mind DrDivX supports Virtual Dub based filters (it is a program *.VOB --> *.AVI format).
Seem to recall seeing a link at Adobe's site for beta version divx editing plug for Premier 1.5.
Generally I don't edit divx files that often so I didn't check any further.
