I know "cheap" and "decent" don't go together, but what about an Enlight 420 or Foxxcon 450 PSU for under $50?

Which one is better?

Any other cheap but good PSU recommendations??

Q-Tec 550W is pretty decent for its price. Dual fan and costs only 55$ here in Europe.

AOpen 400 watter is more than you need and it's cheap. it also has adjustable +3.3/+5/+12v rails.

I got the 450 Watt Foxconn/Allied from NewEgg. Nice long power cords, with numerous connections. Dual Fan with actually grill guards.

28A - +3.3V
50A - +5.0V
18A - +12.0V

TCO=439

I maintains the req voltages @ 5% which I want and the price was $41.00. I have since purchased 4 more and they all work perfectly.

I will have the Foxxcon aka Allied 450W here in a few days & I'm told it has the pots. If so, it should make for a fine PSU :)

I was going to order that one but wanted to spend as little as I could for a new PSU but still have some quality.

I have two Antcs right now. A 300 watt and a True Power 430.

My AMD system needs more then 300. It reboots under very high FSB's with a 300. I went with the Foxconn for 3 reasons.

1] 50A +5 line = 5 line very important on AMD setups.
2] Adjustable pots
3] Good price

For $46 shipped, not a bad deal. Plus Foxconn makes much different hardware for computers. On top of that it's from Newegg
so if it freaks out, they will take it back Jack

I know its not the cheapest PSU on the block, but my favorite is Antec. Antec True Power to be exact.

Q-Tec 450 or 550 watt are good, 550 watt costs about £30
Chieftec are good and overclock.co.uk are doing em for £23.44 (for a 360watt)

If you have a Chieftec Case, dont use the Q-Tec! I just got myself a new Chieftec Dragon Full Tower (of the blue variety) and my Q-tec 550 watt doesn't fit in properly!

Hope this helps,
Craig
