What would be the the best Best 2-2-2-X @DDR500 RAM for A64 system up to 3volts only?

The reason I can only got up to 3volts is because my mobo the A8N SLI Deluxe only allows me to put 3volts through my RAM.

Currently I have my eye on - OCZ 1GB (2x512MB) PC4000 Dual Channel Gold VX EL-DDR CAS2.0. http://www.ocztechnology.com/products/memory/ocz_el_ddr_pc_4000_dual_channel_gold_vx[URL]

But reading this...

I'm now not sure as at only 3V they only got 2-2-2-6 @400Mhz.

Do you think it's possible to get more from the RAM at only 3V?

And if not then what alternatives to you recommend?

Thanks

No one??? :)

Anyway I've been digging about and think the best RAM at these tight timings and under or at 3.V are the OCZ plat Rev 2.

Can anyone with experience of these tell me what they could get out of them?

I'd be happy with 2-2-2-X @ 235 and 1T. Or isthat a little too optimistic?

Cheers.

From what I have heard, TCCD is much better than TCC5, so go with the mushkin then (they are still TCCD, wont be for long though)

TCCD isn't much better then TCC5. Their pretty much the exact same chips except for how their binned. OCZ uses TCC5 in their high speed PC4800 and PC5000. TCC5 is binned at 240Mhz while TCCD is 250Mhz by Winbond but that doesn't mean the TCCD chips will always overclock better. They overclock pretty much the same and i've seen several people hitting DDR600 with the TCC5 OCZ uses.

I just got the ram a few hours ago. It can do DDR500, but only at 2-3-3-6 and 3.2v :( Im still happy with it though, hopefully it will burn in some more.

Crucial ballistix is probably the only ram that can do that, actually even that's more like 2.5-2-2-x, but at least that's possible at 250 with 3v.

Lemme clear this up fast before class... :D

TCCD will not do 250 2-2-2-2 and the ram link to newegg is TCCD not the ram you're looking for. Go to www.mushkin.com Go to High not xtreme and find the dual pack of HP3200 with redline next to it...its $154 dollars...cheapest price on the net...and its all you need.

This one here: http://www.mushkin.com/doc/products/memory_detail.asp?ID=192 .

I'm late for class  Bye !!
