OK, I have been thinking about this for a while, and I think I will finally get to doing it this summer once school is out and I will have time, and access to the tools I need at home.
So here is my plan,
-I have an Antec SX-1030 case now, I will buy another one(probably aluminum) Cut my present one in half(maybe not quite half, so I don't end up with a KnightElite Super-skyscraper )
-I will then put the half case under the new one, attach them somehow.
-I will relocate all my Wcing parts to this bottom chamber
-I am planning on making a res out of copper, and put my pump in it(the copper should dissapate the heat the pump puts out)
-I will get a bigger radiator/heatercore. The largest one that would fit in the bottom part.
-All the tubes will run up through the bottom
- I will add WCing to the NB and Graphics card

Feel free to give me some feedback about things I might not be thinking about, or anything that would improve my design.
I think once this is all finished it should work out pretty well. Let me know what you think.

I have ordered another case, same as mine now, but aluminum. I also ordered some blue Duplicolor Metalcast, so I will paint the interior to give it a blue anodized look. I also ordered some duplicolor Mirage color shifting paint, I will paint the outside of the case with this. I will be painting this new case over the holiday break, and will post pics when it is all painted. Then once this summer comes along, I will finish the entire project, cutting my current case, painting it, and installing the new WCing system.

I think it's supposed to be in the same style as mine, but slightly less monstrous :D. Good luck pulverizer.

That sounds a lot like my SHODAN 1.0 (http://www.xtremesystems.org/forums/showthread.php?threadid=5140) case design.

Here is a drawing of the planned internal layout of the bottom sub-enclosure.

I'll let you et al know when I get this built; don't hold your breath!

Thanks SHODAN, that is about how I am going to set up the bottom compartment. I will not really know until I do it though. I will keep an eye on your post to see your progress. Oh, and I painted the new case finally, and it looks pretty good. I will post some pics when I get my digital camera in a few days.

I finally have some pics of the painted upper case that I am going to use. I think it turned out pretty well, the color change is more visible in real life. Let me know what you think.

WOW, that's impressive! Is that all paint, or is the inside anodized?

pulverizer

The inside and back is the blue duplicolor metalcast paint, which is supposed to give it an anodized look, which I think it does pretty well. The outside panels are the mirage color shift paint, it goes from rust red to a dark blue. The front plastic is the orginal color, i did not paint it cause I think it looks alright now without paint. I'm glad you like it.

Nice pain job, it looks awesome.
Does somebody ever tried to put two cases side by side? I'm looking for a design for this

In your drawing of your plans for routing your water lines I see you intend to split your flow so it goes to the gfx and cpu, then from cpu to nb.

This deprives your CPU of some good & cooling flow. Have you give thought to going CPU then have a T in the line. The T shoud be a unequal one, sending a 1/2" line on to the gfx and a 3/8" line to the Gfx. Then a second T allowing the 3/8" line to rejoin after the Gfx.

This would give all the flow possible to the CPU. Or just run in series of CPU=>NB=>GFx for the shortest total line length possible or CPU=>Gfx=>NB.

Reducing your flow to the CPU is the last thing I'd do the CPU needs the cooling most.

Tweaked!

Or you could set up coming from the pump with half inch, splitting to two three eighths lines, one going to the cpu and the other going to the gpu, with the nb after the gpu, and then rejoining them going back down to the res. That way only the nb gets second hand cooling. If the water blocks mounted on the cpu and gpu are good quality blocks, three eighths should be enough for them.

In my circumstance of running a duallie, I'm planning on splitting once for cpu and gpu, then splitting the cpu line again for each cpu, then bringing it all back together after that. I figure a 1 1/2" pool filter pump should be enough (j/k) ;)

Pulverizer,

I noticed that you are using two pumps. One feeding the other. I don't think this would gain you much in flow rate. Pershaps I am wrong, but I think it would be more beneficial to run the water to each pump and them have the lines come together from the pumps into a T. This is at least the idea I am going to use with two smaller pumps I have because I think it gains more performance this way.

Yes, I would probably get better flow rates by running the two pumps in parallel. One is a via aqua 1300, the other is a hydor L30. I was thinking that running in series would not necessarily give me more flow rate, but more pressure, since all the stuff I have will have a lot of resistance, and having more pressure behind the water would probably be good. Although if running in parallel is better in both flow and pressure, i will do that, its not like it is that hard to do. Thanks for the advice....

I'd put the cpu on a separate line and the gpu and nb in the same with the gpu before the nb, that way you would get the best temp

CCW, That is the real deal. The bottom is almost finished, I really just need to cut holes for the heatercore and fans, then paint it to match the top. Then i will be able to put all the components in it

This is gonna turn out pretty cool if you can get the top and the bottom to match up in color and in size really well.

very nice...now those rotateable feet that come on the chieftecs will actually be effective because of the extra height!
