Lapping a C-orb

Ok guys i decided to just go with what is local so i can return them if i dont likem...robably should have checked out the titan's though since they are ALL copper instead of jsut a coper base...oh well maybe next time.

I was wondering though if it woudl help to lapp the bottem of the C-orb sice its semi-ruff...Then again its coated in nickle ...Would i still benefit from lapping the sucker?

how much do i have to sand before i hit copperr? yesh this is taking forever!

i wouldn't think very much. hopefully Tt isn't so stupid that they put an extra thick coat of tin(which isn't a very good conductor) on the bottom.

what grit are you using? use the rough stuff first to tear through the plating faster. (of course, you knew that ;) )

i think its nickle..i gave up and polished it out jsut left it silver, it was a good thing cause i had to return it anyways...someoen is goign to get a C-orb with free lapping from fry's
