EPox 4PEA has a max real VCore of 1.78V under load, 1.84 idle. I've done the VID pin mod to set the default Vcore higher. After that, I've got higher Vcore options in the BIOS: over 2V even ! However the real Vcore is still somehow "locked" at 1.78 max under load. Is there a way to unlock that ?

Many thanks :)

Hmm, I got the same happening with the VCore underpowering under load with Prime95. I thought it was my power supply, but I guess not.

Is this a mobo problem or would installing an other PSU help?

By the way, I currently use a Super FLower 500 Watt with ratings:
3.3V - 28A
5V - 50A
12V - 20A

Its a bug in the bios, it wont actually set the vcore above the 1.85v setting.

47k pot between pin 7 on the HIP6301 controller and ground. Set to about 20k for 1.95v give or take.

Wouldnt go above 1.73v actual anyway - ive never found it to make any difference, even in my prometia. 1.63v seems the sweet spot, 1.73 tends to give you about 5mhz FSB more than 1.63v. My 1.6a needs 1.63v for 3.2ghz, 1.73v for 3.27ghz and 1.97v for 3.32ghz. This has been the same on my 2.26b and 2.8a as well. 0.25v extra for around 50mhz when over 1.73v.

Seriously - dont bother. Especially when you consider "Sudden Northwood Death Syndrome" you expose your cpu to when running over 1.75v.
