Is there a way to install the DFI nF4 chipset drivers without having DirectX 9 installed, specifically with Windows 2000?
The reason I ask, is I'm going to be updating my old water cooling setup for socket 939 to do some 3DMark2001SE benchmarking, and 3DMark2001SE likes DX 8.1. :)
I want to make a benchmarking OS that is as uncluttered as possible, so I don't want to have to install DX9 to install the drivers and then uninstall it and install DX 8.1 to bench.
I'll do some reading later today and this week to see if I can figure it out myself. I'll post here if I make any progress. Thanks!
