Idea: Memtest86+ Burnin... test 5 and 8?

its just and idea, but what do you think about having a modified version of memtests that only has test 5 and 8 on it and defaluts to test 5, and have some sort of spreadsheet to take and store the errors from the ram so we could pinpoint places we need to concentrate the burnin at

but one with just 5 and 8 and maybe a few options extra would be great but logging errors for later reference would be great

any ideas?

that is a pretty good idea. the spreadsheet thing. very helpful indeed. if you really wanted to go crazy u could even mod ur OS to not use those spots of the memory so u could run higher clocks than u normally could. a good os programmer could prolly do this.

The options are alreaddy there. At least error logging and test selection. I dont know if you can select 2 tests but it is posiebel to select 1.

Test 8 one night, test 5 the next day. When you get home if you havn't seen errors you are fine.

I heard 8 stresses the actual memory while 5 is more for the MCH.
