ok i already posted this at dfi-street but plz dont :slapass: me for asking in 2 places :D

i just opened my psu to up the rails a little. now i dont have a multimeter right now and have to read out the volts via software. thats why i wanted to go not too high for now - just a few percent

but i have a little problem, i cant find the right pot for the 3.3v rail.

it turns out that "poti 1" changes the value of the 5v and 12v rail (dunno which of the 12v rails though)
potis 2,3 and 4 do nothing it seems, though i would have expected that 3 and 4 change 12V1 and 12V2

another thing is that upping the 5v rail from 4.99 to 5.30 didnt even raise the DRAM voltage for 0.01V

anybody know which pot does what?

I have the same PSU and a horrible 12V rail reading 11.77V (software) and 11.96V (multimiter) and didn't know that you can adjust the rails. I will pull it down today and see where one can adjust the 3.3V and let you know. But you can keep trying to find the location, but please do let us know if you are the first to see the 3.3V rail adjutment.

well angry games from dfi street told me here (http://www.dfi-street.com/forum/showthread.php?p=123714) that the 3.3v rail cannot be ajusted and needs to be modded.

rgone told me that he has done this mod and it can be found here at XS.
and pots 2-4 are prolly just for ovp

Link to the XS thread with the 3.3V mod?

Tweaking the 3.3 rail should allow me to juice 3.4V to my future BH-5 :)

EDIT:
I just busted out my DMM and got the following readings:
12V: 12.08-12.1
5V: 5.02-5.03
3.3V: 3.41-3.42

Measured while burning and ripping dvds at the same time. I read it said 3.3 should be 3.47V Max so it looks like I don't need to adjust mine... :D

do we have an answer as to which pot controls the 3.3v rail?

Also, is it safe to adjust while the PSU is on.... I don't think so, but I am just wondering.

as mentioned before, there is no pot for the 3.3v rail

i adjusted the rails while my rig was on - so no problem there.
its more dangerous for you than for your psu
