Hi all,

Sorry if this has been asked before. I am looking to get this TWINX1024-4400C25 ram for use with my mobos. So I woud like to ask these questions:

1. Which which between the black or platinum has TCCD chipset and brainpower PCB?

2. Does TWINX1024-4400C25 model have any issue with mobos as follow:

2.1 DFI NFII Ulra Infinity. running AMD XP-M 2600.
2.2 DFI NFII Lanparty B Rev. B. running AMD XP-M 2600.
2.3 DFI NF4 SLi-D. Will run AMD A64 3500 San Diego core.
2.4 Asus P4C800-E Deluxe. running P4 3.0C.

Thank you very much.

Regards,
FLD

1. the ram list can be found here
http://xtremesystems.org/forums/showthread.php?t=50010
heatspreader color does not mater afaik

2.1 I use tccd with my dfi nf2 ultra infinity, works well, but bh5 may be better because of lower timings. you hit the motherboard's limit before the ram's limit with either though.
2.2 the only differences between the dfi nforce2 infinity and lanparty boards are the power/reset buttons, gigabit lan, pcb color, slots colors, accessories, and diagnostic leds. the bioses for the boards are interchangable and overclocking results are the same.
2.3 the ram will be the limit here, and thus tccd will yeild better results because it reaches higher seeds. tccd and this board go together nicely
2.4 reports are mixed on how well tccd works with these boards, so i'd recommend bh5. seeing as how only 250 fsb will yeild you pretty much the limit of your chip with good cooling, i'd go for bh5 for lower latencies and known good compatality. you may need a mod to feed it the voltage it needs though.

We have a set of ram believed to be either BH-5 or CH-5, i.e. OCZ Value Winbond series ram, and it does not OC well on our UIs but does better on our P4C800-E Deluxe. Better does not men good because it is only stable up to 2-3-2-5 DDR460 at 3.0 - 3.1V anything more than this it will error no matter what v is thrown at.

Another pair of Corsair 3200XL do 2-3-3-6 DDR480 @ 2.85 on the P4 = 3.6GHZ rock stable. Tried some higher MHZ but not yet succeeded.
