I know how to jump a standard ATX PSU... However, I seen no green wire on these older AT PSU's I have lying around.

Can you use a paperclip in the same manner ads an ATX style PSU?

Which pin should I connect to the ground?

Thanks

I know this is an exciting topic, but does anyone know which wire I need to short to the ground on an AT PSU, to jump it

As far as I remember, LPX PSUs (associated with AT and BabyAT mobo form factor) have orange wire that is called PWR_OK. On ATX PSUs it's GREEN wire (PWR_ON).

I would try shorting ORANGE to GROUND ;)

OK I tried the orange to ground and it is not working.

I also tried adding 8 fans to both 12v and 5v rails to see if it needs some sort of load to start...

I pulled this PSU out of a Dell power edge 2200 and before I did I booted the machine, so I am under the assumption it will run...
