*Edit* I will be using this motherboard - DFI "LANPARTY nF4 SLI-DR" NVIDIA nForce4 SLI Chipset (http://www.newegg.com/app/viewProductDesc.asp?description=13-136-151&depa=1) */Edit*
OK, so Newegg decided to make me very unhappy and stop carrying this G.SKILL 1GB (2 x 512MB) DDR 550 (PC 4400) ( http://www.newegg.com/Product/Product.asp?Item=20-231-006&depa=1), then they showed their true intentions, to laugh right in my face for all the effort they made me go though to find this OCZ EL Platinum DFI nF4 Special 1GB (2 x 512MB) 184-Pin DDR SDRAM Unbuffered DDR 625 (PC 5000) Dual Channel Kit System Memory ( http://www.newegg.com/Product/Product.asp?Item=N82E16820227215), when they started carrying it again. Now I can't decide which to buy, and the extra $20 is NOT the issue. Trade off are that the OCZ is shiny, and pretty, but not TCCD (don't even know what TCCD is, except for that it is a good batch of RAM chips), and the G.Skill has better timing, but is slower overall. I don't really plan to OC the RAM, but I am a newb, so I might need to if I want to get the CPU ( AMD Athlon 64 3700+ San Deigo Core 1MB L2 Cache Socket 939 (http://www.newegg.com/Product/Product.asp?Item=N82E16819103539) ) to 2.8GHz (or 2.75GHz, or 2.5GHz).
So, which do you think is better for all around speed etc?
Thanks for tollerating all my noob questions, and providing me with all this great help!
