i am going to reformat my hard drive and i decided to slipstream my old XP Pro CD with SP2. i also want to make this new CD bootable.
is it possbile to make the new CD bootable even though my old XP Pro CD isnt?
is it as simple as getting some file and putting it on the new CD?

it looks like i need to get a hold of "Microsoft Corporation.img" and select it in my burning program as the bootable image file. can someone confirm if this will work and maybe tell me where i can get this file?

thanks.

This is the guide I used. worked like a charm. I just went to goolge.com and searched for XP slipstream.

nlite (http://www.majorgeeks.com/download4324.html) works well for this task. What it is (http://www.nliteos.com/nlite.html).

yeah, i already found nLite and i used it, and it worked.
the computer feels so much faster now after reformatting.. windows explorer opens in a millisecond instead of 10 seconds and everything feels faster. none of the benchmarks are any faster than before though.
