Hi,

I got a pair od this ram and never really OCed it. So, I was wondering:

1. If you guys have this ram, what are the best OC results you get from the pair? Like, what were the timings, Vdimm, and max freq?

2. Being TCCD, I am not sure that it can take as high Vdimm as BH-5 + Powerbrain PCB, what is the max. Vdimm I should be using on the ram?

Thank you very much.

Regards,
FLD.

It's hard to say what the max your ram will OC upto is, since its not on the brainpower PCB, but my best guess is somewhere between 265-280
As for timings http://www.xtremesystems.org/forums/showthread.php?t=53290 use the pics in that thread to come to your own conclusion(i tried them all)
I would start at a baseline voltage of 2.75, then once you find your max clock with that, then test other voltages with your max 2.75v clock and see what memtest does, generally the rule of thumb is you'll need atleast 2.8-2.85+v to hit 300 if your ram is capable of that(i know some people dont need 2.8v to do 300, but dont flame me, im talking general)

TCCD definetly isn't meant to to take lots of volts as I explained above, and you wouldn't wanna go over 3v unless you really have some amaznig cooling on the ram(at 2.9v and 620DDR my ram does 15 passes of #5 then fails purely because of heat and i have a 120mm fan over them)

If it can do even 265 I'll be a happy jane. :)

As soon as the other pair finish burning in, I'll put this pair on Memtest86.

So, you reckon that the Vdimm shouldn't go higher than 3? To be on the safe side would 2.9 would be good?

I have been running it at 2-2-2-5 DDR400 @ 2.8v since I got it late last year.

Never really burned in, though, as I was too newb. Is burn-in neccessary for TCCD?

Thanks.

You won't need to burn them in.

Try out 2.7~2.75v first and see how high you can take them..more volts on TCCD doesn't always mean a higher and more stable OC.

Mine did 270 2.5-3-4-8 with 2.8v.
you wont get to high with 2-2-2-X.
