Nice. They remind me of Swiftech's aircooling.

You should run some tests to compare it to your other blocks.

Pietach, did you use copper to make that water block?
Could you post your results after you test the block.

the whole block is made of copper. After each stage I will present new photos. When I finish, I will give you the results

I like the design idea, but I would be a little worried of water leaking out the seams between the pieces of lucite and between the copper base and the lucite. Are you planning on designing some gaskets into that?

looks nice. put the fitting on the side and instant GPU block ;)

Very nice, will be interesting to see how this block performs vs your other design.

I'd bet on this one, but still interesting to see how both do.

:toast: Nice to see someone doing block designs. :toast:

looks good, but i dont think this would be very good for a high pressure loop or anything, i think some o-rings are defiently needed. maybe a peice of thin rubber above the pins would keep water from flowing above them and improve temps.

since it is a custom job.. it will be more prone to leak due to uneven surface.... i say use liquid gasket instead... that should fill up all lines

teko
06-16-2005, 11:47 AM
Doesn't have to be uneven because it's a custom job, depends how you made it.. You could polish the plexi to be absolutely even..

Wow, nice job. Cant wait for the results. Anything else u have to do?

Craig

Marine or plumbers GOOP sealant will hold very well. GOOP has been used for sealing blocks for years & works quite well.

actually, u should just make a track in the copper and lucite for a rubber gasket, that will suffice. if you did all that work, I'm sure it's easy for u to do that. good looking block btw, the oxidized copper on the inside is kinda scary though.

yeesh, went from a glob of ugly copper on the bottom to a flat shiney pretty looking base......and to think I couldn't even make my SLK-900A look that shiney when it already started off decent lol
