So I finally made my XP 1600s MP 1600s and now I have a problem that is not related to them. I cannot get my damn computer to boot. When I try booting from a CD it says that I have no HD. I have already installed XP on this system before I made the XPs into MPs, so I know the HD and EIDE cable are good.
The power cord is plugged into the HD and I have rechecked all the connections.
When I go into BIOS it doesn't show a HD connected when I auto check, but when it POSTs it shows up. I can then go back into the BIOS and see all the HD info...but if I auto find it again all the info dissapears until it POSTs again.
Any ideas on things I should be looking at?
It is booting up waaaaay slow too.

Do you have them connected to a RAID controller on the motherboard?

Nope, the motherboard is an MSI K7D Master L dually board. No RAID.

I figured it out. Apparently it decided it wanted the HD connected to the secondary IDE slot and the CDROM connected to the primary....when I originally had this rig up it worked the other way.
Strange.
