Hi,

I was wondering can I plug in an old IDE drive that is from my old computer to my new system (see sig). The old drive has been formatted and has XP installed already...I don't want to lose any data on it and was wondering can I just pop it in?

Thanks

You should be able to just pop it in and access all the stuff off it, I do it all the time.

you wont lose any data, as lalPOOO said it'll work fine. It might try to boot from it though, but either way you wont lose anything.

just make sure the jumpers on the back aren't set to master unless your going to put it on its on host (thiers 2 on your Mobo) if its on the same host as your primary HD, set jumpers to slave
