Jort very excellant article! :) The pictures are great. A question on your GPU container. Is there any reason why you don't use just a 90deg. elbow instead of cutting it and piecing it together? Also instead of the oxy acetlyne rig I use just a plain acetlyne tank with a turbo torch. I also use I believe it's sil fos 15 and flows nicely. Those two are just cause I carry them on my van and it's what's widely used in the HVAC industry. :)

i made an elbow container but i think this one is better because the dry ice pressure is 100% onto the base now:)

and about piecing it together i tried but its not that easy:)

but it was way to close to the board and board was frosted all the way.

but like yours is good i think, can you post some temps?

I would post temps. but still haven't grabbed a thermometer to read low enough. The card just shows all numbers in red I am assuming a negative and like 170-190 which I know isn't right. Maybe I'll grab a thermometer for this weekend. Here's a pic similiar to the one I made. Unfortunately I didn't have the right brazing rods and tried oxy/mapp for the first time. Leaks galore lol.

The one on the left is what I mean. I did also make another leaky one like yours. :D The reason why I didn't take photos of the new one I was in a rush to insulate and start benching lol.

in that pic, I am very confused.

You said that you had a 5cm wide baseplate, but in the drawing you have the tube diameter at 5cm (which should be 5.3975cm?), and the baseplate appears to be 6cm x 6cm.

Is the 7cm with the insulation?

What is the 36mm for?

Thanks for the help!

the picture isn't 100% right have to correct it.

the base i used it 5-6cm because of the LGA775 socket.

the tube is a little wider then the baseplate but can easely be brazed tight:)

the 36 mm is for socket A :)

edit:
the picture is to give an example of how it can be done, you can take your own size's.
copy and paste is easy but what you make your own provide you more respect for your own and others ;)
